FAQ's
How does it work?
When she arrives, discuss with your Night Nurse your expectations and preferences for you and your baby. It is useful to supply a schedule and/or written details for feeds, nappies, accessories and products you wish her to use. All required items for baby should be easily accessible to avoid any unnecessary disturbance.
what do i need to provide?
Your Night Nurse will "room in" with baby for the night. She will need either a bed or comfy chair to rest in while baby is sleeping. You are not required to provide meals but access to refreshments is appreciated.
how long is the shift?
The booked shift is usually 11 hrs including the massage time. Start and end times can be arranged per booking and will depend on availability and location.
WHAT IF MY BABY IS EXCLUSIVELY BREASTFEEDING?
If you are breastfeeding your Night Nurse will bring your baby to you for feeds. You don’t have to leave your bed, meaning you can stay totally relaxed and after your baby has fed you can immediately go back to sleep. Your Night Nurse will take the baby back to the nursery and take care of soothing, changing, winding and getting them back to sleep.
